I have Creative TI6100 5.1 Speakers and using it with a creative audigy 5.1 card, but for some reason only the 2 speakers + sub are working, iv tried swapping leads about but nothing seems to be working!

Any ideas?

This is the 2nd set iv had as i had the same problem when i first got them at xmas, tried replacing the soundcard also.

Enable CMSS 3D on the soundcards software. You need to upmix the stereo signal to more than 2 speakers.

Depends what you want. Stereo should stay stereo if its music, but upmixing works well for TV shows.

Turn off upmixing and shove a 5.1 source in, if that doesnt play in 5.1 it isnt correctly setup :)

For what its worth, I have found that if I use Altec Lansing speakers, they know the signal is only basic LEFT / RIGHT Affair and mix the Audio for me.

When Iuse any of the other speakers I have bought over the years, it does not without me resorting to some lossy effect.

Right now, my main speakers are Altec Lansing 955s. My No2 is using Altec lansing 251's and of all *** speakers I have used in the past, these 2 sets are the only ones that play sound out of all 5 from a clean stereo sourse.

Even the Z5500's I bought myself for xmas have been assigned to a lesser PC cos they are too OTT and they still dont give me 5.1 Audio from a 2.0 Source.
