Just ordered a "black Xbox360 wireless controller for PC" for using with my HTPC..
But i noticed that the black ones always seem to cost more then the white ones...

Anyone know why ??

Err I would say its because more people buy the black one as black is usually seen as cool, so there is more demand.

Black is in more demand thus they can charge more for it, this is demonstrated nicely by the fact that you wished to purchase a black one even though you knew a white one was cheaper. You considered it worth a premium over the white version, as do most people, thus they charge a premium.

If the black ones were cheaper i would bought two of them ;)
(Another black one for replacing the white one i have for my main gaming PC )

Yup, thats why I got the black one. I didn't pay more though...shop around.
The price i got one for in the end by shopping around was not to bad...

the white pads are old stock that everyone is trying to clear out, MS only supply the black pads now.

There is also the new pad with the switchable D-pad that has just hit our shores I believe, not had chance to try one yet though
