Why does this feel wierd?

OP; considered talking to your mum about finding a house with a 'granny' flat? Having a more self contained area might make you feel easier, without leaving you alone and worried about your health :)

Also, consider some sort of system so you don't need to hear your mother and him having sex ...the awkwardness skyrockets.

You don't even need to hear it... my folks are deathly quiet, but I always knew :( I think it's why I go out of the house most evenings, even 15 years later in my own property

Eventually I am going to have a heart transplant. When that day comes, it's a whole new ball game regarding my ambitions. Atm, there's not much I can do about any ambitions I have.

As said unfortunately there will be times when she cannot help - with a fully grown man she'd struggle to help you up on her own without causing herself injury for example. I genuinely do sympathise with the heart transplant issues and will never fully understand so I'm thinking a bit outside the box.

No offence intended and I do not wish it but what would happen if she died tomorrow? You need to make a back-up plan. I spent years working around physical issues and doing things people thought I could never do but I ALWAYS had a plan B in case of emergencies.

Regarding the issue with your mum though - have a word with them both together and explain to them what you feel and that you don't want to stand in the way of peoples happiness. Once out in the open you'd be amazed how easy things fall because everyone is talking and singing off the same hymn sheet. You know their issues, they know yours so changes can be made.

Thank you for that mate. Best advice I've had in a while. much appreciated.

What CHD do you have?

Not being funny but I'm sure I've seen you posting pictures of full sized pizza's you eat to yourself at 1 o'clock in the morning in the now eating thread. Seems a bad idea to me with someone with a dodgy ticker?

I'm 35 and still live with my mum because of health (and money) reasons.

Everything is fine, but now my mum has got a new boyfriend who I have known since I was 11. An old family friend and nice guy, if a little boring and unambitious. He is moving in soon.

Is it normal that it feels too wierd for me to remain in the house when he moves in. I just feel so awkward. I want my mum to be happy, but she doesn't seem to understand that it's wierd for me.

How would you guys react to this situation?

If you feel awkward now, wait until you hear them having sexy time!

Move out now or spend the rest of your life in therapy.

It feels weird because when your mum is cross eyed and screaming in pleasure, you will be looking at the ceiling thinking WTF!?!:D

Another thing your mum will die before you hopefully, what you going to do then?

If it was me I would be seriously looking to offski. ;)

the walls in my house are pretty thin and i have two girls in their 20's living next door, i heard some moaning and groaning one evening and it realy got me excited.. so i did what any single male would do ;)
the following morning i saw an ambulance outside their house so i went out to see what was happening, turns out that one of their grandfathers had stayed the night and died slowly in contorted pain of a heart attack the previous evening :(

Couldn't do without my pizzas. Docs have never told me to stay away certain foods.

Or looking at it another way, they where 2 prostitutes entertaining an elderly gentleman and it went Pete Tong. :p

Blag is Grandfather took a turn. ;)

Never has death been so funny. Proper cheered me up that.

I couldn't be sitting there with a pizza while my mum was getting her back door excavated in the other room. I'd crawl out the house regardless of any health concerns. :p

Get a shed/tent/gazebo set up in that lovely big garden and don't look back!

You're going to Hell for that and so am I for laughing.

See you there!

Remove your mum's boyfriend's heart in the middle of the night and take it for yourself. That'll make him pay for ploughing your mum under your own roof.
