As per title,
I have clocked my CPU to an average 4.5Ghz, I check system spec which shows 3.7Ghz

and I recently ran a Benchmark......

Because it asked the bios what's the chip was and the bios said its a what's ever it is...

A bit like when I stick a rocket up my ass, strap on roller skates and fly down the m40 at 140mph my name is still the same.. Apart from weekends when I'm sexy Susan but that's totally different

Yeh windows isn't actively measuring the speed, it just reads what chip it is and states the stock speed.

And it doesn't always do that, I replaced my nans core 2 with a q8400, and it took a few reboots for Windows to notice it had magically grown two more cores.

It still ran as expected though so don't worry about it. Hwinfo or cpuz will let you know what's really going on.

Ok, won't go into anymore detail there then. Hahaha
