Why doesn't OCUK have a reputation system?

Just noticed this 1,500 posts later :D

Made me wonder, I think it would be a good idea, no? Throughout my time here, there is loads of people I would have given reputation to.. just as a thanks for help or something. :D
 
Our members are regular/active enough to carry there rep's with them in there username & sig, For anything else there's Trust.
Trust is where its at. :cool:
 
It would be difficult to moderate and would be abused by the minority unfortunately. The Trust system is enough.
 
They have them on lots of forums, not just BB ones :p

For here it would be stupid, the spammy children who have one great thread would have LOADS of rep, yet someone who posts in one of the other sections and gives great advice on individual posts will only have a little rep.
Who would you trust most when they post something for you specifically?
 
Because if we had a reputation system, any post I make would crash the server because it wouldnt be set up for such negativity.
