Why don't you guys just....wait a bit?

It is crazy and have never witnessed such a level of desperation for a GPU upgrade. I can however appreciate those somewhat excited having skipped the 2000 series and also, like many, looking for a new toy having endured such a negative year brought about by Covid.

Providing CP2077 plays well with my Titan Xp, 5930k, 32GB, M.2 I won’t be considering an upgrade for quite some time. Heck I even still play a few great SLI enabled games.

I think there will be some buyer remorse too believe it or not. I agree with the OP though.

As above I appreciate people were excited but to then moan because they could not buy one or get stock what did they expect. We've been saying it for weeks due to a number of factors including Covid and past launches stock will be limited. To see people moan and blame OCUK etc I can accept disapointment but it was hardly a surprise.

Cyberpunk may need it even at 1440p. That’s probably it. Even then it’s probably for ray tracing (I can’t tell the difference) and a few settings from high to ultra (again, usually little difference. Each to their own though. My 1080Ti was a great purchase, still going strong - it was easy to get hold of too after the initial rush.

I love my 2080ti waiting for 3090 benchies then decide.

this just reminds me of when I got my 2080ti I waited for ages and ages and when i got one no space invaders .but black screens when gaming of for a rma but they sorted me me really quickly so as people say just be patient and they will help you get sorted.

Yeah, I’m seeing loads of new forum members who have only just joined ranting and raving about it in the other thread...It’s really sad that people can get this upset about a soulless piece of pc hardware that will be dead tech soon enough...

With the world as it is these people really need to get grip....it’s pathetic to see and quite frankly odd behaviour...

Happy to wait for whatever now. Fetched a 2080Ti for £450. Officially jumping of the hype train as this will be a good upgrade for me....

Be interested in what AMD got now..

I been thinking i may just stick with my 2080ti for now and use the money i save to buy one each of the new Xbox series X & Playstation 5 consoles plus some games for them and a few pints of beer with what money left over ;)

Oh my goodness.
Why don't you guys just wait?

1 In a month or two prices would have stabilized.
2 The brand of card you want will more likely be in stock.
3 20GB 3080's might be announced.
4 AMD will reveal Big Navi.
5 More reviews will be out on all the AIB cards. EG The Asus TUF is so fatr the best cooler out of all the ones tested.

Just relax guys.
cause Soon Ill will end up under scalpel with back operation and wopnt be able to sit and play games on my pc ??
1. Nope not till 2021
2. Brand does not matter need just PCB to put block on it
3c Comes out when ??
4. ****** AMD and theirs Whatever they show lost to much money cause of waiting for em.
5. Same as 2 does not matter.

G Sync users can't switch to AMD.

RTX 20 series is absolutely crap performance in ray traced games.

3080 is amazing performance per dollar.

Witcher 3 ray traced is coming soon and Cyberpunk. I'd like to be able to play them maxed out.
And Crisis remastered and Wow xpack in October with raytracing.

i have been sitting on an i9-9900KS with a Bottlenecked Vega64 for like a year waiting for someone to launch
Zen3 Should get close to it for gaming maybe even beat it

I cant see these 3080 20gb cards being anounced till well into next year considering that there is such a backlog of orders for the 3080 and there will also be for the 3090. All that would do is annoy a lot of 3080 buyers. They will keep it on the back burner till atleast May i reckon.
