Why Fiats Shouldn't Tow Caravans

Oh dear.

Out of interest what is the recommended cause of action when you go into a skid like that - try and spin off to the side? Cant think how you'd stop the descent any other way.

It looks pretty unavoidable in the clip, but I'd guess that'd be the only way since they'd be spreading the weight out a bit. Either way I think they're pretty screwed.

I guess when going uphill in the first place you need to have a careful balance of having a high enough gear to not cause a skid, but not so high that you stall and get dragged back by the white deathbox. 0.9l Renault 5 probably didnt help none either :p

was there no internet before then... was it just a dream  ???

Anybody got that car on a machine (which you can put car on, and test how fast it goes) with it's bonnet up - then the engine blows?:cool:

To clarify, it's on a dyno, with nitrous.

I have a the video, but it's 20mb - don't feel like uploading that!

It should never ever happen. If you stick to the cars limits the brakes will hold, thats the point. If it does go, you're not stopping until something stops you (like a wall) or you reach a flat bit.

The first time I ran out of oomph I totally panicked (not good) and yelled at my passengers to get the horses off the trailer like NOW!! I then remembered I had 4low, and we all lived happily ever after! (it was a ridiculously steep driveway, but the brakes held)
