Such a simple and cheap resource that instantly improves countless drinks, especially water, but it's virtually unused here as far as I can tell. It was a bit of shock coming here, asking for water at a restaurant and getting a very mildly chilled cup of it that quickly rises to basically room temperature. I remember thinking that must have been a one-off, but after being here a couple years, I've discovered it's the same everywhere. It's like nobody has heard of it or found out it makes drinks 10x better.
Plus the clinking noise is really satisfying.
So what gives? And how do I go about reforming this country to get the people the refreshing cold drinks they deserve?
Just look at this:
Yummy.
