E6600 in ocuk members market seem to go for around £35 or even less. However I managed to sell my brother's E6600 (4 years old cpu) for £50 on the ebay and it was bought by a guy from an IT company. Nice chap though. Gave me +ve feedback 5-6 weeks after the transaction
.
On Ebay the prices are crazy. You can find very low to very high prices for the same item.
Yeh it's like the old socket 939 dual cores. Had a quick look on the bay just and there's a 4800X2 being auctioned on there for £129 (inc delivery costs), 11 bids and there's still 4 days left!![]()

) that few people will know it's relative value (in terms of much better OC potential than the 4800+ etc chips). Obviously I'll advertise it accordingly, but I bet most people would just see the stock clocks are low/ignore it after seeing 'Opteron' and move on. Ahh well - at least I paid a great price for it in the first place.

Here's my best overclock from my E8400

I got a POST screen photo @ 4.50GHz but it wouldn't get into windows no matter what I tried lol and that was with a BIOS voltage of 1.6v![]()
Something like this?

what is that temp monitoring gadget you using?

lolI'm pretty sure I paid around £120 for my e8400 over 2 years ago
, best bargain I ever got. They jacked the price up to £155 after 5 days because of manufacturing problems, and it's never dropped back down since which isn't surprising really, all things considered.
