Why is it that........

just looks neater without tied laces... and saves so much time in your life.

all those 10-20seconds you spent tieing your laces you can't get back , over your lifetime it must be days wasted for what? so you can mock people who have better things to do with their time

Why button up a shirt? Or tie a tie? In fact...let's all just walk around nude!

Eh? How does that compare?

1) We button up shirts because it would be rude to flash our chests in work
2) We tie up a tie, because how else is it going to stay on (maybe a clip?)
3) Shoe laces end knots can be tied and hidden inside the shoe, and the remainding cut off, so you can slip them on everyday and not have to tie them up (although totally depends if we are talking casual shoes), IE you wouldnt do them with formal shoes, although if you didnt want to lace up formal shoes, then dont buy laced ones and buy slip ons (which are much better)

For those who still can't tie laces properly, there are always these:

In all honesty, I think Velcro is superior in every way. I think we should all adopt it. Think how many lives a year will be saved worldwide from shoelace related accidents.

20 seconds? Please, spare me your weak shoe game.

As as probably been already posted, you need to tie them up correctly in the first place to avoid them coming undone.

Quite simply, both parts of the knot have to be tied in the same direction.

If the first part is left over right, then the bow must also be left over right. The final knot must look horizontal, rather than vertical.
