Why is there not a specific term for religious discrimination?

Whether you believe in God or not you should understand the reason the Church holds the position it does. It believes its teachings come from God and as such are not open to change.

For this teaching to change the Church would need to teach the concept that "God was wrong"

I don't think hate is too strong a word. Religion has directly caused huge amounts of human suffering throughout history: genocides, inquisitions, crusades, jihads, witch hunts, slavery, you-name-it. All these things happened because people believed in some invisible bearded dude sitting on a cloud, and they regarded those who believed differently as sub-human.

Thing is the can and do change the rules so to speak as they go along...

Not sure they'd want frame it as "God was wrong" though

but essentially it is a bit of a farce... I'd be fairly confident that they will change the rules though its just unrealistic in a modern world to keep on spouting the sort of **** they currently are. Ecclesiastic laws can be changed doctrine can be modified, loop holes created...

Its called sectarianism in northern ireland, we killed each over it a fair bit this past fifty years.

Not entirely correct, the Church has changed it's mind occasionally, hence priests can no longer marry when previously they could.
