seems like thundebird has stopped bothering to check spam lately in that i keep getting bank emails through. just now i got one from co-operative bank with an attached .html file. surely this basic spam anyone can detect?
email clients do no have spam detection, they have junk filtering. your email host should be handling the spam filtering.
But spam gets me worked up. I received a linkdn invite to my primary email from a recruitment agency and i almost lost it. I had to unsubscribe immediately. I have already closed a few email accounts due to spam, once you get on a list, you might as well close the account.
