P-p-p-plus one here.

I find that it clogs up the case section, and it really isn't totally relevant to that section anyway. Case mods are one thing, but most of the time we tend to put components inside the case.

Easier to navigate and more logical to give them their own section; especially to the newbie - the very people who would both most appreciate it, and who wouldn't think to look in the case section.

What is needed is:
A Build Log forum
A sub forum of said forum called Completed Builds.

The completed builds forum contains only a copy of the first post of any build.
This Completed Builds forum threads are then exported to
i) an RSS feed
ii) Twitter

It would require a mod to do some sanity checking of each completed build and some minor button pushing within the forum software.

The gains would be a user generated content stream.
An RSS feed showcasing OCUk products.
A Twitter presence for the site and the forum.

Very Nice And Laid Out, I also don't see use of the RSS/Twitter on the site could you explain how these would make a difference ?.

But other than that the idea of having a completed build *sub-section* seem a brilliant idea. Wouldn't it be easier just to move the whole thread to there instead of just the first post ?

There's no need for many things on the internet. I was highlighting what is easily doable.
I don't use feeds or twitter myself but I'm old and times are a changing.

The copy of the first post is so the forum becomes a forum of articles. This way you can just turn on export forum in the control panel for the RSS. Or even use the posts to power a full site dedicated to build logs.

It was just an idea anyway. I think most folk here, including the admin would rather go for the least hassle strategy of just adding a new build log forum.

Good idea, I think a lot of people enjoy reading various build logs. Would be a great place to go when you are in need of some inspiration. :)

+1 for sure.
