+1 for :)

Would be a nice way to de-clutter the rest of the forums and keep things easy to find.

If it happens, I'll stick a thread up ;)

I think it would be great, I've got a lot of inspiration from build logs and being able to browse jsut that would make life a lot easier.

Only thing is it would probably lighten my wallet even more *cough*Silverstone Fortress*cough*

voted for this, i enjoy looking at how good some of the mods are, so putting them all in one section would definitelly make it easier to go through them.

85.06% :)

I would very much appreciate a build log section/sub-forum. I think if people know that there is a desire to read build logs, people will be more inclined to post them (I know that would certainly be the case for me!), so it may not be as empty as people suspect.

(Voted for this!)

quick question for the mods/people in the know...

what kind of results does this need to get implemented - is there a minimum number of votes? whats the % needed?

I think this would be quality, currently thinking about getting a case for my bday but may mod if I had plenty of inspiration :D - id post pics obviously

I have already stated that I am into the idea, but would like to add that for beginners like me, the main interest would be detailed 'step by step with pictures' threads - I have asked many questions, got lots of replies, but at times, pictures with explainations would be fantastic. I am hoping to do my first proper bit of cable management, and may be posting pictures of each step, in the hope that I will get critisism and that it may help anyone else about to try - so many of the builds shown seem to be by experts who have done amazing things but without too many details.
Now, if we get this section, I hope lots of us will contribute, or it won't work, so be prepared to put something in and lets all get lots out !

The case forum has build logs in it does it not?

I guess it'd be better to have its own subforum though.

Yeh it does have some, but I guess it's better to have its own subforum though.
It'll help in that there could be some step-by-step guides to building a PC, cable-management etc. Also you can directly see the build logs rather than searching around various other parts of the forum.

Finding build logs used to be easy as they all started [project] - so it was a very easy search to do. But that doesn't seam to happen anymore :(
They also seam to be popping up in the OC/cooling and general hardware sections in the last few months (which also never happened...they were almost always in case central)

I'm sure there was a sticky by Yewen many moons ago that outlined various case mods and linked to all the 'high quality' build logs the members had posted... can this be retreived as it also have a good link on how to write a log.

So it's a yes vote for me - and it's for one specific reason.
Build logs are not always about the case.

It's a great place to keep all the short logs on braiding or lapping or fan 7v mod's or bungee mod's to name four.

yashiro comment regarding the 'complete builds' with just the first post is an excelent idea. It would help someone browsing the logs and would give a small element of structure when the full build thread is complete.

If it happens - and there are no other takers, I'll start a build log directory thread and keep it current (for at lease a year anyway) If your reading this yewen and you still have that old sticky drop me an e-mail.

It's possable that's all that's needed - used to work - but a specilist build log forum has other benifits - Including attacting new members, and current members shairing visually with the community here.

As a side, OcUK may even consider stocking more modeling kit if it took off... its an inexpensive way to test the market.
From my own point of view I'll never buy a £200 case - but want the same preformance as a £500 fanless case.
So I spend yet another £50-100 making my current £30 case fanless.(current build log which is stalled due to family illness & work take the p :()
