Why just take a bite?

I completely forgot that Brits are really snobby when it comes to shopping at supermarkets :p

I've sent them an email, will see if they confirm some action as been taken on the staff there.

Were probably 2 left over after the batch so they just dumped them in the last packet lol :p

Yeah, that was my thinking. I can't help but think of that day when I look at the packets on the shelf. I'll never forget the 7 double choc chip cookie day.

They will probably suspect that you took a bite out of it and are trying to get some money!! :(

I'm not sure that isnt what is happening?? :D

He isn't asking for anything, just informing them about the issue. Plus he needs to be given the benefit of the doubt. I bet some of the things people complain about are easily faked.

They can't prove it wasn't already like that and the OP can't really prove he didn't take a bite, but good customer service keeps people coming back and spending more money.

True enough,or at least that's the perception.

I use my local Lidl (no bites out of the excellent cookies - yet!) just glancing round the car park over the last month, I've spotted a RR Phantom (with somebody loading groceries into the boot), an f10 M5, Merc S Class and even two Astons!

Whilst granted the store shares its car park with a Travel lodge, I'm sure the cars were at Lidl as in the evenings it fills up with trades vans and a plethora or Vectras, Mondeos and x20d's, the staple customer of Travel lodge I think!

As an update they got back to me apologising and saying that the local store manager would get in touch which they haven't so far.

Popped into Tescos today and bought the most expensive cookies they had left over to shut you guys up :D On a side note, jesus they're damn good!

For the same reason that when I was working at THE (a large entertainment warehouse that supplied everyone from the likes of HMV, Virgin Megastores and Waterstones right down to Bob's Books in the market) a few pickers spent entire shifts slicing random pages out of the latest bestsellers or placing stickers a few pages in with huge spoilers printed on them or circling Wally in all the pictures before sending them off to the packing line.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. :D

You do know that supermarket 'bakery' cookies arrive in store as a box of frozen hockey puck-like discs, right? They flatten out as they are baked off.

You didn't think some craft baker lovingly spend all shift baking them from scratch? :p

Well they can't prove he did it, unless they do DNA test which isn't going to happen. What ever happened to customer is always right?

No such thing. You'll know this if you have ever worked in retail or any service industry job.
