So, currently sat in Donnington Park services waiting for the RAC.

Driving down the M1 this morning I noticed a petrol smell when I slowed in traffic. Was right by the services so nipped off to see what it was thinking I might have been a tard and not done the fuel cap up enough.

Get out of the car to find what I think is oil and fuel ****ing out the bottom of the engine. No engine warning lights, nothing.

Called Skoda assist who are on their way.

Bets on the issue?

Absolutely typical considering I needed to be in London for 10, need to get home to Chelt tomorrow, and need to get to LHR on Saturday for our honeymoon.

HAPPY DAYS.

You checked the obvious screw parts, if possible? Oil bung, oil filter? Though wouldn't explain it weeing out petrol aswell :(

I've done about 140 miles so far this morning, theres no way I'm reaching round a scorching hot engine when I have breakdown cover ! Oil filter is on the other side of the engine.

Interestingly its not doing it with the engine off, so I wonder if its some sort of split on a return hose and its oil and fuel vapour? the puddle is pretty decently sized though (A4 sheet size)

Gutted for you. Hopefully it'll be a quick fix. I'd take it as a positive that you saw no dash lights, it means oil pressure wasn't affected enough to trigger the light!

Sounds daft but you might be lucky and it may only be a coolant hose split. Had a similar problem on my ST and it aswell stunk like engine fluids. I crapped my self thinking it needed a new gearbox.
