As near as I can tell (and I haven't checked with anyone else so it is purely guesswork), the admins got bored and either through speaking to Ken on MSN or just taking hints from here are carrying out some of his requests to ban people/edit posts and make it look like he has/had admin privileges. Much hilarity did ensue and I missed it all or something like that.
