Why no short throw 4K projectors?

There is no simple answer. It depends on FPS, the type of game being played and the person playing.
I'm looking for a short throw laser projector 1080p+ that I can mount upsidedown on the ceiling 12 feet from the screen. I have bad experience of lamps blowing and damaging the internals and problems with the brightness/contrast during bright sunlight.
