hmmm. I dont believe it, but its mcv.

But if it is then they are not getting much better :/ I will just stay with pc

While the APUs are commendable in the fact they're great for budget gaming rigs I fail to see the point in using it when graphically games aren't going to look that much better console wise and will likely look a couple of years old if you've played the game on a PC.

One of the comments said to pair an APU with a 7850...

Advantages? Superior graphics and mice are the most precise peripheral we have.
Although for games needing force feedback and triggers/pedals, a gamepad is a cheaper option to using a fully fledged joystick/steering wheel.

The only disadvantage I think is that there are many good games that are purely developed for console and not even a port for PC. So the only way to play them is by getting a console :c

to me console gaming is fight night,UFC andfifa with a few mates and beers.

thats all it should be.

or 4 players split screen goldeneye.

More then 30fps. About the only reason we need :P

I just wish it wasn't so hurrendously expensive... Though to be fair by the time consoles catch up to the best quality gaming pc's, console gamers would have spent as much on there systems as a decent rig would cost.

GPu prices have soared these last few years as the quality of games have declined, which is wrong.

i buy second hand now.

you can get a 670 for 240 second hand or 7970 for 200 ish.

I wouldn't say the quality of the games has declined as such. If you mean story wise then yes, I certainly agree. But graphically I think we're making leaps and bounds!

GPU Prices haven't really changed. Take a look back at the 8000 nVidia series for example.

8800 Ultra $830+
8800 GTX $600-$650
8800 GTS 640MB $400-$450
8800 GTS 320MB $300-$350
8600 GTS $200-$230
8600 GT $150-$160
8500 GT $89-$129

technical problems you won't run into on consoles.

I wouldn't say that. I have had more crashes with my PS3 than I have ever had with my PC.

PC's are far superior for a gaming experience. I do like consoles and have played them for years but overall PC is in another league.

My main complaint with consoles is the inability to run at 60fps, they barely make 30fps in most games and even then they have v-sync disabled or adaptive in most games. They seem to be trying to push the consoles to hard for what they are capable off. To busy trying to make the game look good rather than anything else.

I used to love playing the PS3 but to many poorly running games with no option to change anything was the final nail. Remember the old generation of consoles, when did they ever have poorly running games, I have about 80 PS2 and Gamecube games and not one of them runs poorly, they all run smooth as silk. With the change up to HD resolutions I think this generation just can't handle it.

I played the PS3 version of Deus Ex Human Revolution and I was shocked at how poorly it run, stuttering and barely making 25fps. Installed it on the PC and was blown away at how much better it was running. Locked 60fps and never dipping, a far better and smoother experience.

Loved the consoles of old, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2 ETC but the new generation are to close to being like PC's.

That's the main reason I barely use my ps3, the fps and startup time in most games is abysmal. Though the same could be argued about the ps2 towards the end of its life, a few games pushed it to the limit such as MGS3 which ran at about 30fps.

most games are dumbed down nowa days. there no attention to detail in them anymore.

bf2 vs bf3

splinter cell chaos theory vs conviction

cod's

rainbow six

ghost recon

hitman series

graphically there all better but htey lack in every other department in my opinion.

far cr 3 looks poop compared to far cry 2
