Why should I get a Dreamcast?

I vaguely remember someone saying they got one a few weeks ago under the advice of these forums. So I was just wondering what's so great about them? Obviously I don't want to to touch on details of homebrew, but is it a good console for that sort of thing (simple answers will suffice)? Can I add some nice big storage to it? What games are worth getting?

I'm quite fond of my xbox with all the bits and bobs chucked in, so I'm quite keen to have a go at a new project.

It's not worth owning for homebrew alone, especially if you have an Xbox but there's a lot of classic games to get both domestically and on import.

Trouble is controller port 1 on my xbox failed and most homebrew only works with the first slot unfortunatley.

I've traced the fault to the mobo itself. Seems little I can do to fix it without replacement.
