Why so many idiotic posts on FaceBook?

Facebook, the voice for those who would otherwise be branded a dimwit elsewhere.

Ignore it, the Internet as a whole is littered with stupidity and people's uneducated personal opinions. It gives them a false sense of belonging, intelligence, freedom and a stage which otherwise they wouldn't have.

Chavs on Facebook - some rant about veils or "our country our rules" + hanging out their family's dirty laundry in thinly disguised posts

All others - pictures of their dinner, selfie, political rants (guilty) and so on.

:o;):p

Pictures of cats and DOGE!

Wow.

He has a point.

You might disagree, but that doesn't make him an idiot.

Suicide bombings have gone up in recent years. Some are British Muslims.

Islamic extremists claiming benefits. He's not wrong there either..

This is a Christian country, and those that don't like/accept that should move on.

The fact some councils binned xmas lights in towns so they didn't offend anyone is pathetic.

So, how is he an idiot exactly?

Afraid to say yes guy does have a point, although he sounds like a retard.

The council Christmas thing did occur in some paper ages some extremo's kicking off about it back I think, I thought are you kidding me? Personally I DO NOT care if some muslims are offended, then leave?

I had somebody on my Facebook say something very similar so my reply was:

What I find really offensive is that the vast majority who share this post will have never been to a Cenotaph on Rememberance Sunday. I don't give a toss about a few Muslims who don't like what poppies stand for but I'm offended at my British brethren who won't pay their respect. Now **** off.

This is unfortunately true too.

I see peoples points though getting pee'd off.

Between me and the other 5 people that use Google+ we never have these problems :)

I enjoy Google+ because all the social attention seekers don't use it. So you can actually enjoy a conversation with another person on a topic that isn't the usual; "If you like this we'll donate $5 to x y z" to which the masses share and like it....

Google+ :D

What I don't understand is responding to someone's Facebook status with something argumentative. It's like just being a tit for no reason.

I don't expect to agree with all of my FB "friends" and if I don't I can ignore them, or delete them, but causing an argument with them is way stupider than them writing some stuff about Muslims.

He does actually have a point but the way he's put it across is a bit retarded. It's basically white people being scared ****less of Muslims which is comical.

Dat White guilt. :)

Tell you what shocks me, Prents who let their children make absolute tools out of themselves and look like *****

The girl i'm on about is around 13 (neighbour, added me), she posts things like... What number would you do with me: 1 - Kiss me, 2 - Snog me 3 - Go down ***** you get the picture.... Followed by guys replying with the number then her saying inbox me and we'll meet up!

On top of that this girls clearly is getting bullied at school as she keeps posting how she's picked on. I know this sounds harsh, but it honestly doesn't surprise me. She really really does says some tartdy things, while singling out people in her school. This then turns in to guys and girls calling her a loser etc etc.

What gets me is her mother replies to the bullying posts saying things like, "Don't worry I've got their names and will go up the school"... Yet wont bother saying "Yo daughter you sound a little tardy and are looking like a ****" (in a nicer one ofc).

When my daughters have a facebook profile, I will be keeping an eye. If I feel they're looking like a tool i'l mention it to them and perhaps justify why i'm saying it. Its all a learning curve I know.

But Meh... Facebook - Where stupid people shine and smarter people laugh!

Ambiguous posts are another favourite of mine on facebook. If you're not going to say exactly why you're upset and instead try and get idiots to ask what's wrong, then don't say anything at all.

Even when, after about 2 hours, someone does ask 'Is everything OK', the person then says 'Oh, don't worry, everything is fine'

That's called "vaguebooking". People really hate it when you accuse them of it.
