Why so many M3 and so few C63's?

Top (facelift) vs bottom (pre).

They've taken styling cues from the E class.

The interior has been significantly reworked to bring its arrangement and quality closer to the E-Class and S-Class. There is a high resolution screen on the dashboard which has visual functions similar to the S and CL Class models, and it also features the new Mercedes-Benz Comand APS system first seen on the 2010 E Class.

Ah, well its still not amazing but much much better.

BMW have much better interior at the moment on both the 3 and 5 series comported to the C and E.

Having had the M3 e46, the e9x didn't seem as raw as the 46. I took the 63 out after the e9x and the sound track alone had me. I missed the manual and the greater sense of speed the bmw gave you, but as an all around pack the 63 had me grinning like an idiot all the time. Sold the 63 for now but will be looking for the new model in a year or two

Took out the 1M yesterday though, awesome fun but for 38k I'd want so much more for my money. the interior is lacking... engine sounds great but id take a fully specced up 135 for 18k and get it tweaked and use that for as a small 'fun' car

I agree as fun as the 1M may be its just not 20k better then a 135i with 1k worth of mods

Don't think i've ever seen Tiff struggle to drive any car as much as that, you can spec an LSD in the c63 these days and i'd guess they turned off the driver aids for the vid. The UK market seems to prefer handling over horsepower and handling is something m3s have never been short of.

Aussies = mental
C63 = mental
UTE big V8 = Big noise
C63 = Big noise
M3 = little noise
M3 = not bonkers

I'm not taking anything away from the M3, I love Beemers but the C63

For daily driver I'd take a 63 with something small and light for track/country lane driving. The new C63 looks HOT, http://www.autoblog.com/2011/03/01/2012-mercedes-benz-c63-amg-estate-geneva-debut/

there are some interior pictures with a red trim going around it, looks awesome, can't find the pictures of it now :(

Wow, yeah, there's quite a difference there. I did not think that the Mercedes would be *that* tail happy.

Saw a estate (touring style) just like that at the shopping centre car park in tamworth. Might of just been a diesel but it looked very similar to that, in white with black wheels and as the sunset was in the back ground, it just looked fantastic. Easily the best looking touring/estate I've ever seen. :)

and only a second slower in their lap time test! new revision should be quicker with revised suspension but then the new M3 will I'm sure will be very quick, especially considering the sub M devision making obscene 0-60s on tractors.... if you buy an M3 you'd want the bragging rights over a sub M diesel.
