Why so scared?

I'm not scared of spiders I just don't like the ****ers.

I know very little fear, but I have dislikes - it has nothing about people being "wusses" it's just somethings people feel they shouldn't have to put up with - fair enough if you ask me.

Of course you live in a place where there are a lot more "exotic" creatures so for you it's not as big a deal. If you lived somewhere more civilised I'm sure you'd have a different attitude ;)

People in general have a dislike for bugs and creatures - why else would they have made so many movies about it, and represent alien like creatures as such creatures? Because people don't like them.

Yes they are harmless, it doesn't mean you have to like them. Some people are scared of the letter P - it seems wierd and stupid, but it's just one of those things.

I have no phobias, but I wonder if you have any concept of what it's like living with one? I think generalising and calling everyone "wusses" and soft is a little bit far.

Ive had phobias before, read the my last post :)

The day i realised how stupid it was and i need to get rid of it is the day i started to have more fun in life and felt much more safe and free :)

Sounds like some one have a fear of "accepting"......shall we call it Acceptophobia then? :p :D

Well you're still young and maybe the root of the phobias were less deep set. Maybe you're lucky enough that they didn't affect you as much as they do for others?

Either way consider yourself lucky. :)

Thanks Kell, I suppose screeching, stamping, crying, shivering, etc etc was an improvement on what people might have expected. Kate was awesome - just picked it up and out it went.

aawww! You weren't that bad!

You might have felt like that but outwardly you seemed calmer. :)

Would you be scared if pretty much any insect or insects ran across your face even if they were harmless. The above guys pretty much explained why they get scared i am just putting it in prospective.

A bug that you wernt expecting running across your face will make you jump and flick it off because its instinct to remove it.

Im talking like the people that just see a bug in a room minding its own buisness and they just jump up and down screaming and call for someone to "Hurry up and kill" and basicly have a screaming fit.
I find that highly anoying :p
