Why still no ATI 9.1

Those benchmarks look clumsily massaged to me - games where ATI dominated are suddenly very close scores and games where ATI was losing to nVidia they are suddenly winning... doesn't tie up.

Plus theres a number of tests there were I have data for 280GTX to 280GTX SLI gains and they aren't even ballpark to the figures they are showing.

Any hints at whether there will be Windows 7 versions of these, or will the vista ones be fine to use? Currently using the Windows 7 beta drivers and missing quite a bit of functionality in some games.

Just installed the 8.12 hotfix. My 1080p issue is sorted - now all games run great in 1080p. Vantage 'performance' scores went up to 20k from just under 19k. 140 fps in Farcry2 maxed out @ 1920X1200. Crysis is awesome 35-40fps at 1920X1200 maxed out with 8AA.

GFX @ stock clocks
CPU @ 3.6Ghz

I'm loving it :D

Ignore this link, use the ones below instead

9.1's available from the Sapphire driver page :D

Got 'em, installing now

Unzipped them:-

:(

Looks like the driver page hasn't been updated properly, but if you use the following links you should get the 9.1's:

Vista 32 -- http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/driverfiles/508.zip

Vista 64 -- http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/driverfiles/509.zip

XP 32 -- http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/driverfiles/510.zip

XP 64 -- http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/driverfiles/511.zip

(I know the file name is the same, but the size is different)

I got a virus warning from ESNET straight away on the Vista 64 link.

Nowt wrong with the link, false positive.

And yes their site seems to be taking a pounding as it is the only place to get the 9.1's at the mo (unless someone can find somewhere they've been uploaded to).

Has anyone installed these from the Sapphire and can confirm that these are definitely 9.1's?

Doesn't affect me as I won't be able to install it until I get home from work anyway!

Just installed them, and it looks to me like they're mis-labelled 8.12s :(

Looking again, the filename is indeed 8.12.

So even though the file name is:-

8-12_vista64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_72276

you think they are 9.1's?

No no, I posted different links above, it looks like the propper driver selection page hasn't had the links updated.

The links from the Sapphire home page 'popular downloads' links to a different file (though it is called the same thing, confusing just a bit...), the driver on the driver selection page is labled as 9.1 (509.zip) and is ~60MB but contains the 8.12 Hotfix as you found.

However the driver from the popular downloads link is labled as 9.1 (509.zip) and is ~62MB and contains the propper 9.1's.
