Can't imagine a Sony laptop being that bad? Ok it will likely have a lot of pre-installed software on it but that's easily sorted.

I get this a lot - people ask me for general computer advice then completely ignore it and then in many cases moan because what they decided to do didn't give the results they were looking for....

I've given up. I don't even bother answering their texts or emails about their next purchase. They never ever ever consider my advice and walk in some retail park with an open cheque book and take all the advice off the sales dipsheet on commission.

Oh I bought the insurance and the better hdmi leads they said.

Spec is nowhere near as important as other factors for most users.

i agree, but because they know the brand name sony is not a particularly good reason

The number 1, golden, primary, utmost be-all-and-end-all rule is:

People will only follow your advice if your opinion coincides with theirs. And if it doesn't, they will often continue to ask people until they find someone where it does.
