I been waiting years for a company to release a good dock to use with my Android mobile phones and to this day I have not found even one..

But there 1000's of differnet ones for the iphone ............

I don't mean a desktop dock that connects to your PC
I mean I want something with a Android dock like a midi hifi, alarm clock, speaker, etc etc

I think the best ones I found so far are the Philips ones http://www.philips.co.uk/c/docking-...se;productState0=page=1,sort=subcat_asc_group

probably because every android phone is different in shape/size, whereas iphones are uniform in design (aside from the 5 with it's new connector)

iPhone all the same deisgn, therefore company's know they have a huge market.
Android has so many different varieties its next to impossible to get anything the same qaulity.

Can't be that hard - all they need to do is make an adapter piece for each (popular) device for it to fit/dock properly. They near all use mircro usb now.

Make the recess big + device adapter = win

However come to think of it, not all manufacturers put the usb port at the bottom middle - bah!

Got $$$$?

Why does any phone manufacture think a port should go anywhere but bottom middle. It's just a retard deisgn.

Just get wireless charging with blutooth activated by NFC. Then you won't have this issue, a bit like Nokia is doing.

Couldn't someone make a single dock for all Samsung phones, another one for all HTC phones and so on? I thought that all Samsungs had the same port, then repeat for other manufacturers. Make the bay over-wide to fit larger phones, then a much larger dock to take tablets. Hell, even make a dock with different drill bits, like changing the bits in a drill, but instead you're changing the adapter type for the manufacturer.

it's easier for manufacturers to deal with Bluetooth speakers which they know will work with all the range of devices, rather than trying to make something with hardware compatible with literally thousands of devices, which change slightly every 6 months or so
