Why won't my cpu voltage go down?

I have reduced my cpu voltage from 1.325v in the bios, however in cpu-z the voltage still remains the same, do I need to disable some power options or something?

Whats the vid of your cpu? From memory you cannot set a voltage lower than the vid of the cpu.

You can set the voltage as low as the motherboard allows. Whether your board will post is another matter.

Hmm, at 1.1v in the bios the max cpu temp is 35, at 1.325v it's 45, so it must be having some effect.

its probably cpu-z that cant read your motherboard sensor for the vcore correctly. Download the latest version.

Does it? I'll have to check on next reboot but I'm sure my abit ip35pro won't let me set lower than 1.25v in bios which is my vid.

My mobo will let me set the voltage between 0.8v and 1.6v.
