shutdown.exe /L /T 15

It runs without the "/T 15" tho?

Basically I want to make a task in "Task Scheduler" twice a week, early in the while the pc isn't in use and make windows log off so my SSD drive can do its thing, But I would like it to log off after 20secs of coming out of sleep.

I might even set it to go back to sleep after a hr or so aswel

I thought that the machine only has to go in to a locked state or idle for the ssd to do its optimisation. Where did you read that it needs to be logged off ?

Over at OCZ forums.... With windows logged off nothing can disturb the ssd while its doing its thing.

My write speed has dropped way down over these last few weeks even tho my pc is left at idle for a good few hrs, so the ssd cant be doing its thin. So Im hoping the logging off twice a week will work:confused:

To be fair there is still plenty of stuff running in the background even when you are logged off. All I can assume is you have one specific application that runs when logged on that causes the problem.

Though I use an Intel SSD and use their optimization tools, so dunno much about OCZ SSDs.

But all of the background progs thats been installed by the user gets unloaded when you logoff?

There are probably 2 dozen services and other Windows processes going on even when logged off. Things don't magically stop running, just anything you initiated upon logging on.

It would probably take a small age narrowing down what could be causing the issue. Nothing wrong with using your logoff script. Was just pointing out that it is likely one specific program that runs while you are logged in causing the problem, rather than simply down to being logged in.

If that makes any sense! :p
