why wont windows 7 recognize my hardware ?

I've got problems on 2 off my machines the 1st one is in sig which wont recongize either of the belikn pci network cards i put in and the other is a 939 system with a a8n sli board which wont recognize the onboard sound or the pci creative soundblaster live 24bit 5.1 why is this and is there a easy fix as they have worked for years up to my reformatting my pc's ??

yup tried all xp vista and 7 drivers with compatability

belkin pci network cards, that's your problem. Ive had several belkin network cards and adapters and all of them have trouble in vista/7. Their drivers are utter useless.

Intel. Best add-in PCI network card you can buy.

The PRO/1000 specifically.

Look at the actual network card and find the part number on the main chip. If it is a Realtek or Marvell chip, you can probably get a better driver from them.

As for the Creative card, try looking in the Creative forums (e.g. SB-P17X-Series-Support-Pack)
