Why would she do this? :s

Depends on what she's like, how you guys ended it, and what her relationship with her bf is like. If she's a nice girl, she may genuinely just want to be mates, especially if it's been a while since you broke up, and she's moved on. If she's not so nice, she could be contacting you cos she had a fight with her current bf and wants to wind him up, or potentially keep you as a backup.

So its just me then that actually stays in touch with ex's?

I don't see the issue tbh, even when you break up on bad terms time heals things and you let the the hate go.

treat her as a friend, if she mentions feelings etc or asks if you still think of her just point out you are only interested in friendship. By all means, be friends, but make sure you control the relationship :)

to boost her ego!

She doesn't care about you.

She just wanted to see if despite everything she can still have you whenever she wants...and she can. Now you are texting her over and over, and surprise!! she doesn't text back. Once you STOP texting, expect a text from her saying "really sorry, I was out of credit" or that she was "really busy"...that's just to get you texting again to boost her ego.

Delete her from your life!

I get along with pretty much all of my exes and stay in touch with a couple of them well enough, one of them might even stay with me and my gf next year for a week or so while she tours Europe.

If it's weird to you then it's probably not worth getting in touch. If it's not weird to you then it's no big deal. It all comes down to whether or not you're over the fact that you were into each other a long time ago and are willing to accept that you're changed people but still capable of being friends. *shrug*

Reading this thread prompted me to mark my Facebook account for deletion. I feel so liberated but will feel more so when the deletion takes effect.

I did this on Tuesday, you may have seen the thread.

However, I kind of want it back now as I miss it for talking to my mates :o but not having it has a lot of advantages so i'm going to see how I feel next week and leave it deleted for now and if/when I do activate it, its getting some serious, serious pruning

Friend her on FB, tell her she has bad aids on her wall and then wait and watch!
