Why?

To be honest after previously owning a 360 and now owning a ps3, i find that the sixxais is a pretty good controller.

I personally have large hands and don't find it to be too much of a problem, however i will state that i do prefer the converse style to the sticks on the 360 controller, but not enough to say one is better than the other.

Having a flatmate with a 360 and constantly hearing him moan about batteries running out is also a bonus, which makes the slightly poorer analogue sticks on the ps3 way more acceptable.

However, all said and done, i much prefer the Dreamcast controller than either of these and would almost defiantly choose it if i could only use one controller for the rest of time

Not relevant. Myself and my friends bought the PS3 for many different reasons. The controller was not one of them - although it's not an issue to us because we're perfectly ok with its design and function.

We dont have a problem that needs fixing :rolleyes:

Well your friends are not relevant either, since they have never used a 360 pad then they are un-able to compare.

I bought RP's fighting stick for the 360, i use it also for the 360 arcade games and stuff like speedball, which its fantastic for. The one thing i havent used it for so far is fighting games

This isnt a comparison, It's a general opinion of the PS3 pad. Saying you cant have an opinion on the PS3 pad because you've not used the 360 pad is stupid.

Download SF2 off arcade, I whooped many an OcUKer with tahts stick ;-)

One even refused to play me cos he said I had an unfair advantage over him (think he was jealous of my larger wallet tbh

). I notched up some high scores on Lumines Live with the arcade stick as well!!

At first I thought the 360 pad was great for shooters but to be quite honest they aren't actually any different. I've played Gears, Bioshock and Halo 3, I just finished Uncharted today and one isn't any better than the other.

I think I was put off by the PS3's joypad for shooters when I played the resistance demo and it felt clunky but after playing a bit of COD4 it feels great.

For me I prefer the PS3 controller, I liked the 360 at first but the D-Pad ruins the controller, it's practically useless, especially when there are so many live arcade games that use it.

People also like to complain about the analogue sticks being too close to each other but I think it feels better for platformers. I feel like I have more control when my hands are closer together when moving the camera and the character at the same time. I also don't understand the argument about it being lighter. Why is that a bad thing? It wouldn't feel any more interactive if it were heavier and the fact that it is lighter is better ergonomically.

Anyway it's a matter of preference and these threads pop up all the time here with the same answers, they aren't really that much different from each other and they both do the job fine

Because I've used both. So i can compare.

Just because someone hasn't used a 360 pad, It doesn't mean they can't have an opinion on the PS3 pad. Same Vice Versa.

The thread is generally about the PS3 pad right? If you've used both you can compare, Right? But if you've only used the PS3 pad, You can still have a genuine input. believe me. And that input should not be disregarded as you said.

How come when Nokkon said his friends told him about GTA delays down to PS3, you lot mocked him, yet this guy can claim 5 friends love the PS3 pad and we should accept that.....usual double standards from the Sony Brigade

it's not a comparison! I compared because I'm allowed to. Why? Because I've used both. People who use both can compare. This thread is on the PS3 pad, but i'm pretty sure it's not against the rules to compare is it?

Yes, you should accept that there are people that are happy with thier controllers - regardless.

They are not going to chuck thier PS3 into the fire if they happen by chance to try a 360 one - trust me.

You said my friends opinions were not relevent because they could not compare them. This is not a comparison and thus my opinions as well as my friends are very much relevent.

Comparison was your wording. You said they couldn't compare the 2.

There was no comparison on their end to begin with. That was just you.

They used the PS3 pad. They like it.

You said that they couldn't have input having not used the 360

Problem is, they have ever right to have an opinion on the PS3 pad don't they.

You are constantly going on at me saying I can't read. It's getting annoying. So shut it.

You said their opinion on the PS3 pad was irrelevant. Thats what i'm getting at. ITS NOT. It's completely relevant. In this thread. wwwebers post initially wasn't a comparison, it was saying the complete opposite infact. That they have never touched a 360 pad. And they love the Ps3 pad.

That's relevant. Only you said they werent allowed to compare
