lol what a crap suggestion

Not really - seems like quite a fair question if someone is really into books.

Unfortunately Alan, as Penski pointed out there is just the demand or need for a seperate forum as it falls nicely under the title of General Discussion. :)

Also if you search in GD for recommendations I'm sure you'll come up with a few threads from over the years with lots of suggestions for you.

I know you're bored of fantasy books, but I would recommend any of David Gemmell's series. You've probably read most of his stuff already, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway. If you want an epic story which will last you a VERY long time, I'd recommend Robert Jordans 'Wheel Of Time' saga, of which I'm currently on book 9. Such a rich and detailed world, with superb characters. I know some people find it a bit long winded, but I'm really enjoying it.

I would love a book sub-forum, but as said above I don't think there is enough demand.

+1

Although would a book forum actually generate more interest so it becomes self sufficient. Maybe people don't post about books because there isn't a proper home for it. Maybe an Ocuk Official thread is needed for people to discuss books, graphic novels and comics etc. Just a thought ;)

Books aren't geeky while cars and sports are? That's news to me. I'm very much a book geek, and there would be use of a book forum, as evidenced by the 2 page thread recently all about books.

books are geeky yes, but they're not computer geeky
