Hi all,

Please let me know if this is posted in the wrong place.

I have a Samsung laptop and Virgin media Superhub that just don't get alone. Wifi signal is strong and internet speeds are good. Virgin support were relatively helpful and we ran some tests: great speeds in safe mode; dreadful in regular startup.

This is a clean laptop, I just use it for work stuff and all the checks I've done with anti virus etc are clean. Am guessing it's a program throttling it but no idea what. Appreciate any help :)

If its fine in safe mode and terrible in normal mode then theres very likely something starting with windows causing the problem.

Try uninstalling yer AV

Also any cloud/backup software uploading anywhere?

Netlimiter was usefull last time I used it to identify why BB useage was so high for a friend.
They had auto backup software constantly uploading despite not even knowing the software was doing this.

Did they tell you to change the wireless channel and such?

I don't like the superhub at all, mainly because it doesn't like all my devices!

Yeah, tried all that but because it's fine in safe mode and massively worse in normal mode, they suggest means it's a star-up program that's causing it.

What AV did you have? Fill your threads with information, so if someone else searches it, your experience will help them out :)
