ive just recieved this on my gmail:

Bicoastal Communications Inc. Announces E911 Service Agreement. Grand

i cant see what they are trying to achieve, there are loads of spelling/grammar mistakes, too many exclamation marks, plus no links to scams etc...
 
i have had so many like that in the last few weeks. several a day,.. They put an odd selection of dictionary words in the title so it gets through filters.

I don't know what they're for but I recieve several variations :(

if anyone knows please share
 
The company is promoting, well itself and so is trying to persuade you to use it by giving you the 'Latest' company news.

Let's see if it works, are you impressed? ;)
 
It's a worthless microcap. The stock dropped about 99.99% this year. Sales and margins seem to be in terminal decline.

I'm at work, so I can't make a recommendation.

(The email does seem to have driven about 3x average volume though)

That's not a very helpful reply given the fact he's on Gmail. A lot of this random-text spam and emails such as the OPs tend to easily get through web-based email providers and theres little an end user can do.
If you're running your own domain then you're able to add new filters etc, but this isn't possible with a free email account.
 
Cant say i have used G-Mail but with Hotmail i only allow my inbox to accept from known addresses, thus eleminating all spam.

If i were running a bussiness id invest in some decent software. Or see if my ISP can offer it.
 
well I use filters both on my server and individual machines that are good at getting rid of most crap but I get about 20+ of these a day.

They are NOT promoting their own company. They are fraudsters trying to get people to buy stock in companies that they already own so that the price will lift so they can ditch them.

It's called Pump & Dump spam.

The only really amazing thing is why the OP has only just started receiving these
