Hi all,

Been having a problem with my Samsung Syncmaster 226BW. Ever so often some of the pixels will start displaying a turquoise-like colour. The pixels affected seem to be those displaying a grey/blue colour, as seen in the image below:

Now my warranty for the monitor doesn't run out till August 2010, but I was wondering if I should get it repaired/replaced now? Or wait till nearer the end of the warranty? The problem seems to occur after prolonged periods of use.

Just in case; I'm using a 8800GTS 512, connected with a DVI cable.

Thanks

is the PC not developing artifacts/crashing in games? If it does, then it might just be a graphics card problem..

No, everything else is normal. It seems to have gone for the time being :S

I think I'll wait till nearer the end of the warranty to get a replacement or it becomes more prominent.

tried to make the monitor display from a different source with different cable? i.e. freeview box, another PC etc.? Just to be 100% sure its the monitor and not something to do with your PC nor the cable.
