Wierd Screen issue ????

Ive booted up my pc today after it was running on screens native res of 1680x1050 yesturday perfectly, and its now running at 1900x1200 which the screen wont support so my starts menu and clock is off the screen, luckily i know shortcut keys.

so in the gtx ive setup the custom profile for 1680x1050 and i get this

Any ideas what I do ? im using hdmi-dvi cable.....

ive managed to get it to work but now all the text is blurry and all the graphics are too, like its been scaled lower.

I rebooted with the screen on which seems to have cured the resolution problem however firstly using the nvidia profile it would scroll up and down the desktop and the start menu would be a single bar but 2 inches thick..........what the hell ?

Why does nothing i ever buy just work without problems!

ahhah!!! does GTF ring a bell ?

It works on there, hopefully it will remember *** profile when its turned off!
