They could be the best earplugs in the world, but if they don't have an apple logo - then I'm pretty sure she won't appreciate them.

Bit the bullet and pay the apple tax.

This, or she will assume you don't value her and you can then kiss goodbye to nookie for a while.

Jaybird's are pretty good for running. Waterproof etc and sound good too. I've not used mine since I got the Samsung buds.
