I currently access the internet via a WiFi Connection provided from BT.

I was wondering if its possible for my laptop to also connect to the internet using the connection perhaps using ICS through my main computer?

I tried to create a ad-hoc using the windows program but it didn't seem to aid, infact it always disconnects me from the internet connection.

I don't know much about networks unfortunately.

Any Help Appreciated.

A wifi connection from what? You won't be able to use one wireless card to both connect to whatever wifi device BT gives you and for the laptop to connect to.

what you want is a router

i'd go for a linksys adsl router, easy to setup and no config required on the pc (besides the wireless settings, which you choose anyway)

If it's just a wireless connection from BT (i.e. not a home hub, you just connect to a wireless device somewhere else) as the OP's IP address implies, an ADSL wouldn't be much use.
You'd need a wireless router without a modem (WRT54GL or something) and some wireless device that would connect to the BT service (wireless AP that does client mode) connected to the WAN interface.

Its a BT Open Zone area, basically I am in the armed forces paying for this wifi connection but I can only connect one of my items to the service, I was looking for a way to connect both.
