Wifi connection is up and down like a yo yo

It's reet pee'ing me off

I can't get the PS3 online as it just drops out. My PC wifi connection is really slow. This flat has the worst signal rate ever. Sadly we can't do anything about it. The router is the landlady's downstairs and my guess is it is somewhere near her front door or where her main phone line comes in. We are on the roof flat. The signal is weak at best (around 30%), the PS3 picks up at around 50% but always drops out.

The router is a crappy TalkTalk router and i tried to configure it with a netgear dg834 here so that we could use it as a bridge but i dont think it's capable.

I love this flat but i really can't cope with it any more

Why don't you offer to replace her existing router out of your own pocket, explain to her it's a better upgrade and will really help you, I don't think she will have any problems with this. Just a get a decent router with a better wifi output, preferably an external antenna, 9DB.

Other than that, there isn't much else you can do, except put up with it or move out.
