Wifi Extender

If Argos give me my money back for the powerline adapters which i purchased which I have not oped yet then I''ll go with the Asus if not then I'll get the Netgear one

It's up to you. You can either buy a wireless router with good wireless and use that along side the superhub. Or buy power line adapters and use another wireless router (this is what I did, as I knew for sure then that I would get a signal downstairs.

If I get power line adapters should I connect them to the superhhub?

What is the purpose of having another router as it wod be on the same place as my super hub as as that's the only place I have a cable connection.

Either way still need another router

So I have returned the Powerline adapters and I am looking at a new router as I think it will be the best soloution.

I am looking at the Asus Routers, anyone had any problems with these overheating and shutting down? I read this on the a review somewhere.

Do you know what power line adapters are :S?

You plug one end into the superhub. The other end is plugged somewhere else in your house (the dead spot), then the port on the adapter can be used to plug into a wireless router.

The problem I have is Power line adapters have to use the same ring of electricity in both of the sockets and my property is basicaly 2 houses knocked into one so I don't know if these will work.

I got my router this morning and I'm having mixed feelings about it.

It looks great and very stylish and setting it up was easy once everything was connected. I have it does get VERY hot VERY quickly.

Believe it or not signal strength is only slightly better than the Super Hub on both 2.4 and 5ghz bands. I was very disappointed for such a premium product you don't get what you're paying for.

I phoned up Virgin and asked for the hub to be moved. After running some test on a new to position for the hub both on the Asus and super hub the Asus provided full signals that were stable, where as the super hub was a bar less and the signal was was goin up and down a bit.

So I am now deciding weather to keep the Asus RT 65U. I it did provided a slightly better signal and signals were more stable. With AC on the horizon is it worth waiting orshall iI just stick to the 65u or even the Superhhub.

What would you guys do

Thanks

To use the power line do you have the same power ring as myhouse is 2 pproperties knocked into one so will these still work.

Will one power line work or will I need 2
