Hi all,
Recently I had that new router from Sky, as the old one only had 2 ethernet ports & poor wifi.
Previously I was using one of those Unifi AP boosters, that goes on the ceiling. It was ok, but would cause issues sometimes with my Sonos, Wifi on the TV upstairs etc, where the devices would be connected to the Wifi but say no internet & would need to be reconnected all the time. A little annoying.
This new router has good wifi all through the house, so I decided to not use the booster.
However, the internet has been disconnecting like every 4 hours minimum & have phoned Sky several times & they always say the connection is fine their end.
Everything is exactly the same in terms of which devices are connected.
The only difference is I didn't connect the Unifi device to the router - BUT I did leave it plugged in.
My question, is do you think that the Unifi could have been interfering with the wifi signal & causing too much traffic/info on the bandwidth? It was powered on & still transmitting something, but just not connected to the router via ethernet.
I've turned the power off to it now, so am hoping the connection stays up.
Other than that, I'm at a loss as to why this router would be disconnecting all of the time...
