Hiya,

My sister has asked me to find her a decent WiFi Modem/Router so sort her problems out with the dreaded wire issue's. My niece got a laptop for xmas and she usually uses it upstairs in her bedroom, but with the main socket being downstairs, the bro inlaw bought one of those silly mobile spool connection extender things. I told him he is losing loads of sync as there is at least 3 breaks from the main socket to the laptop.

So I was wondering if anyone could advise me on a decent WiFi modem/router that has deent enough coverage from downstairs to upstairs back bedroom. Price range from aprox £50 to £70 give or take either way.

Thanks really appreciate it (saves them keep ringing me for advice)

the dg834s are good for adsl, the thing is you could have strongest range router in the world, and still get a bad signal, due to there been many many facters in a wireless signal strength, I have some clients that are only 2 rooms away and signal sucks, otehrs that are 5 floors up, and its great.

If you can get a older type linksys and re do with a 3rd party firmware
like tomato, then up the signal strength from the defult ( 25 or 28) to 75%.
