Wifi with the same SSID

Hello,

I am just about to get a new wireless setup in my house.

It's too big just to have one wireless router so would need some form of some repeaters?

Probably 3-4 as the walls are really thick. Has anyone else done anything like this before? I've read a few articles where they say you should keep the same SSID so that devices automatically pick up the wireless network.

Was thinking of getting a TP-Link TL-WR841N 300Mbps Wireless N Cable Router and putting that in a few rooms round the house? Would this work? Still going o have one router that i'll disable the wireless on and use a Switch to supply RJ45 to a number of powerline adaptors? Something like this TP-Link TL-SG1016D 16-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch.

Any advice appreciated.

Keep the same SSID but set them on different channels. If you set different SSID's then windows will attempt to connect to whichever network is highest in the preferred networks list.
