wifi6 or Ethernet

My EE rougher is wifi6 compatible, but i moved my Pc today and the rougher is now less than a meter away whats the best option?
my internet is full fiber is 150meg if it matter

Ethernet is Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet
wifi is 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
 
With my own testing on 5GHz WiFi 6 can reach around ~900mb... but that assumes I'm close to the router/access point... which at that point I might as well be wired.

But it's not just speed, there's also latency, WiFi will always have a bit more while ethernet is pretty much near 0ms (to the router).

I decided to order a shortish Ethernet cable to connect my Mac Mini to my router. I believe my Mac Mini is capable of the latest WiFi speeds but my router isn’t.

My router is supplied by my ISP and I can’t change it, I’ve got a gigabit internet connection so do benefit from the extra speed with wired.

I haven’t got a GF/ Wife to moan about a 5M cable run across the bedroom floor and ordered a yellow cable as it was the cheapest.

like this haha, this is why my pc went upstairs. id mentioned moving it back downstairs a few times but got no reply.
played squads till 3am 4 days in a row... today we went desk shopping :D


tbf the cables on here are very cheap
 
Not to mention the more devices you have using the WiFi the slower overall it will be.
Save WiFi for your mobile devices or stuff that can't be wired.

Wi-Fi is half duplex, only one station (AP or Client) can talk on the same frequency up to the threshold of the clear channel assessment at a time.

As that channel gets more congested, your device has to compete for air time amongst other devices.

Simply said, if it doesn't move, wire it, if it moves, wireless.
