Ok my friend wants to know where I can get a wii from and I have been looking at various places and most have sold out. I am unclear as to what the basic pack(age) is.

Is it the console and one controller? Or do you get the Nunchuck too plus a game? I would like to know what sort of price I would be looking at because my friends hasnt got a lot of money and doesnt want to be ripped off.

Is the pack that OcUK sell worth it? I am not sure if its at that price due to having wiisports, remote and Nunchuck. Or is the OcUK one over priced. Not having a go at you OcUK but my friend has 3 kids and has to be carefull on how much she can spend..

Hope you understand this post..:)

More than likely the prices will go down after Christmas and all the people who wanted them will have bought them,m and prices will come down. but then again thats what everyone will be thinking.

I really wanted a wii for dec 06, took me till mar 07 before they had stock and the price was reasonable (£180). And that was a high street shop not online!

There are loads in Germany, went into a shop and there were two pallets full of them.

I emptied one smaller shop out. Oops

The Nintendo Wii sales passed the million mark within 10 month, so thats nearly 100,000 units per month.
I'm sure there are more then 100,000 people want the Nintendo Wii during Nov - Dec period . Its gonna get more interesting 1st week of December until 24th.

They're going for well over their retail price USED! If I didn't just get round to playing Super Mario Galaxy i'd be half tempted to make myself a profit :D

I find it funny how for the 2nd christmas in a row there will be wii shortages. Surely this is being done to add hype and drive sales prices up.

Are wii's being built in garden sheds or something?

They can't be that popular as I don't know anyone that owns one. HYPE HYPE HYPE! :D...

waits..

As much as i know you are joking, some people actually believe this.
It is as if ramping up production from 12m/year to 18.5m/year is what companies do when they want to create "artificial shortages".

I still can't believe how high the demand is though, it is insane. Especially here and in the US. Mainland Europe doesn't seem to have such problems with as high demand and as said there are plenty available over there. Amazon.de had to stop shipping to the UK to prevent so many people buying Wiis from there.
