Wii Can Not Find You!

Hi guys, so after nearly 5 months of the Wii going on sale im still finding every shop that is suppose to sell them out of stock all the time! Is this because the Wii is still selling very well or just because Nintendo are crap at restocking places?

Rumours are circulating that Nintendo made their numbers for the fiscal year so don't really "need" to continue supplying until the new one begins. Also the lack of consoles creates a bigger buzz and the more you wait the more you'll want one I guess.

yep thats what I've been hearing too, as much as I hate to admit it this makes 'business sense' and Nintendo want to make it look like a massive success, but it seems there doing it at the expense of the customer which completely out of order IMO

Nintendo did beat their target for 6 million sold by the end of March.

But they are still selling out. I was keeping an eye on a major online retailer and saw them come in stock two days ago then sold out again within a few hours.

Nintendo are also going to be getting another contractor going on the production of Wiis.

Some high street retailers are not supplying their high-street stores in preference to their website and those stores will not be getting any wiis in for a while.

The places that I have seen 'back in stock' this week are only selling crazy deals that are pretty much the price of a 360. So unless you really want to spend that much on it I would wait.

Or if you really want one that bad get a european import. My girlfriend and I just brought one back from Finland, it runs fine was switched to the UK servers and of course plays all the pal/uk games.

So glad we did now seeing all the sh** deals that stores here are pulling. :mad:

My mate has been waiting for one for months too, and it's been on pre-order.

Hope it's worth the wait, he's promised to have us all around to play Zelda and Super Smash Bros! Sounds brilliant!

Up until the other day I still had yet to physically see a Wii on sale in any shop - even the store I work for have yet to receive any free stock. All the Wii's we've received have been for pre-orders.
Anyway, walked into one of the major gaming retailers on Friday and they had just received a delivery of about 50 of them! The queue was pretty massive and the consoles were flying out the door - no doubt they've sold out again today.
