Worth buying? It is at cheapest around £16 on some sites for the official one. I'd want to get this as I will be getting Super Mario Bros for the Wii when it is out and will wanting it to be looking as smart as possible! I also have a 32" 720p telly. Anybody have this cable and recommend me it? Or even notice a difference?

Kind of a big ask from a random internet user but could you just switch back and see if you notice a big difference please? Then post your findings? Would be much appreciated. :)

There is a big difference on my 720p LG TV. Colour clarity is a lot better and the image as a whole is a lot less "fuzzy" around the edges when objects on screen are moving. Playing something like Mario Kart for example is a whole lot better with the component cable, but a lot depends on your TV so see if there are any reports specific to your display floating around the internet. If you don't want to pay the full £16 maybe get a multi-console cable.

Nah, I think I'll just bite the bullet and get the Official one. It's Christmas after all. :D

Yes but you gain resolution in depth when using progressive scan, as with 576i you're only getting half the pixels every screen refresh (576x25 as apposed to 480x60) which can result in jaggies when objects are moving. 480p is far superior when it comes to games in my oppinion. Again though it all boils down to the display and if 576i looks better for you then fair do's :)

I didn't notice a great deal of difference going from composite to component. Slightly better colour and sharpness on 480p but hardly noticeable.
