After being robbed on having to spend out an absolute fortune on controllers for a recent family XMAS Wii I purchased, i decided to buy a decent GC classic, Rogue Squadron II. Only to find out that I needed yet another controller.. The two classic controllers that I puchased were no good..

So once again I'm shelling out for yet another controller.

So to tally up for my wii which came with a wii remote and nunchuk,

I've had to add the following, cos lets face it a Wii for single player is not much fun... Anyway I've had to add

Motion Plus for Remote 1
Wii Remote 2
Motion Plus for remote 2
Nunchuk for remote 2
Classic Controller white SNES style
Classic Controller Black Jap
3rd Wii Remote
Motion Plus for remote 3
Nunchuk for remote 3

And now I'm having to bleedin add a Wavebird and gamecube memory card..

Well done Nintendo for fleecing me before my very own eyes.

my god the controller situation on wii is out of this world. They are just sucking money out of the middle aged casuals becuase they know that having a wii with one controller is utery stupid and pointless.

Wii controller
Wii Motion Plus
Wii nun chuck

Its close to £70!!

I own a ps3 and a wii, I don't see the difference between the two. I already had some GCN controllers lying about so no classics. wiimote + nunchuck £35, ps3 controller around the same. Tbh, I think all the companies over price the peripherals.

wii controller with motion plus is £40

+ nunchuck at £15 is £55. not quite 70, i'll admit, but a lot for a controller.

My wii came with mote and controller.

I bought Wii play for £30, came with additional wii mote

I bought a classic and a nunchuck from japan for about £18 and £10 long back when they were mental prices here.

so that's me at 2 controller, 2 nunchucks and a classic for £58 outlay so far (+wii obvs)

Then I got guitar hero guitar for £15 on the bay
the drums and mic for £45.

Then at christmas there I bought another wii mote + motion plus and nunchuck for £55

so now at three wii motes and 2 motion plus and 3 nunchuck + classic total £113, plus guitar hero stuff = £173 over a couple of years isn't bad I guess.

I don't think i've ever used the classic pad. I also have 3 GC pads, which I don't think Ive ever used either.

And a set of bongo drums, which is good fun in donkey conga.

Also the official wheel that came with mario kart , and the gun thing that came with links arror shooting game that i got second hand for a fiver or something

Didn't you ask, back when you got a Wii, whether to get Classic or GC pads?

If you are talking to me, no I didn't.

I have my GC pads from when I used to use a GC, which I still have.

I bought the classic, becuase it was a good price, and it would be really annoying if something were to require it and I didn't have it. That's why I only have one.

No no, the OP. He did, I ran a search.

He was recommended the Classic Controllers as he said he's be playing lots of SNES games (although he did ask if he was better off with a couple of Wavebirds), someone said if he wanted GC, get GC (or both).

I have GC pads from owning a GC, but bought Classic Contollers as they're awesome. Lovely D-Pads on them, very nicely made.

Ahh ok. They are lovely controllers. Any recommendations for games I could use it with?

Any games that are compatible! :p

I only ever use my GC pads for GC games. Any game that I can use a Classic pad on the VC, I will.

Yep Nintendo suck, make the console cheap but it really requires several thousand accessories to actually use properly.

nunchuks are poor aswell one of mine gets a stuck sensor which unsticks if i bash it.

im guessing the sensor in them in a mechanical part

I've looked into buying the cheaper third party controllers but they seem to have connection issues. So just brought a Black remote with Motion Plus & Nunchuck for £50 :(
