Umm.. is there a reason why its not for sale anywhere?? I don't know anyone who has actually bought a copy, but i had a spare £70 and thought i might.

However i have been to all the No competitors! stores in Bristol and Birmingham and none have it.. plus no on-line stores have it afaik? Is it even out?

Hi,

Type Wii Fit stock checker into Google and that will tell you where they are in stock.

We got ours by using that :D

It is quite hard to get hold of. In the end I pre-ordered it from one of my local high street game shops and they called me 3 or 4 days later to say they had more stock in.

I think it's a combination of typical Nintendo over-caution (at least with the Wii) in terms of preparing production, actually struggling to meet demand with said production and being incredibly popular. I was very lucky for a relative to have an in-store ****-up (don't usually sell games)... and to get it with staff discount from said relative :D

Nintendo have really gotten good at creating hype and shortages in just the right numbers on just about all the big games they release.

Or Nintendo are very good at making fun games that a wide audience are interested in and hence want to buy.

I found mine at a popular chain store - they will take your phone number and call you when they come into stock, which is frequently ;)

So good that they constantly release games with stock issues. I'm not saying they aren't good games and wii fit has hardware so understandably it might take time. Yet games like Mario and sonic had stock issues for a while and created a frenzy for a pretty crap game. GTA is huge as was halo and it was easy to pick up both titles on launch week.

Personally I dont think wii fit is any thing great, but the board has awesome potential in future games

Do you want to spend money to do exercises that you could do normally? I really don't see a legitimate reason for it selling unless Im missing a major aspect of the 'game'

Because it does train you quite well actually. You're acutely aware of any posture issues you have, the accuracy with which you're performing the exercise and you don't need someone with you saying just one more because the game does all this for you.

I was cynical at first, but in just 30 mins you do work up a good sweat and it's feels like you've had a good workout. My posture and balance has improved no end too since playing.

Thats just it, its telling you what to do... another convenience for the microwave generation...

Get off your fat lazy arses and go outside!

What about people with low self esteem? I think it's better for people to do something like this than nothing at all.

go say the same to people in gyms doing step or on treadmills, or doing basic yoga.
go say the same to all those people who buy fitness dvd's and exercise at home.

wii fit has brought onscreen progession and monitoring to the family arena, giving it an easy competitive nature against others in the house hold.
It has also made exercising at home a bit more fun, one of the things that really puts people off exercising is that it is not fun.

'go outside!' - and do what?
