Wii Fit ??

go say the same to people in gyms doing step or on treadmills, or doing basic yoga.
go say the same to all those people who buy fitness dvd's and exercise at home.

wii fit has brought onscreen progession and monitoring to the family arena, giving it an easy competitive nature against others in the house hold.
It has also made exercising at home a bit more fun, one of the things that really puts people off exercising is that it is not fun.

'go outside!' - and do what?

Exactly!!

In the house! another reason no to leave it and interact with real people!

The people in the gym LEFT THE HOUSE.. see where I am going with this?

I was speaking for the likes of you and Wyrdo ;) just didn't want to mention any names

Yeah I know what you mean, Wyrdo had to buy two, one for each leg the fat ******* ;) He offered to take a picture of himself playing the drums in the rockband thread. Sadly cadburys threatened to sue him for looking like the gorilla and ripping off their advert :(

Exactly!!

Why do you assume that people who use wii do not interact with anyone else?

I interact with people all ****** day long and I'm glad for a little peace & quiet when I get home, if I can then get some basic excercise and provide some entertainment for my 2 year old daughter and wife at the same time then that's a win!

Don't look at other people from your own shallow perspective

Great a family of hermits...

As you say in your sig.. Whatever...

you have no idea what you are talking about.
my 3 year old loves wii fit, especially watching daddy doing the hula!
my wife loves wii fit.

I work with people, goto the gym myself and go out with others
my wife works with people, goes to the gym and goes out with friends
my boy goes to nursery part time and has lots of friends, he also does other things while interacting with other people and children.

We all love wii fit.

Family of hermits?

the people in the gym on a treadmill or bike generally listen to music or the tv... hardly interacting with others...

Yeah when I'm at the gym I constantly talk to women who are on the crosstrainers, and then have a chat with some guys in the shower. It's a real social paradise.

Nothing wrong with an hour on wiifit in the evening instead of watching some rubbish tv show or playing some other game, shower, then bed.

I smell troll.

Playing GTA4 or Wii Fit - what is the least healthy?

Wii Sports/SonicOlympics/MKWii with family or friends, or Halo3/GT5 online multilayer - what is the most socially stimulating?

Back on topic/

Yes, nintendo don't make excessive satock which sits in warehouses unsold, they try to make stock that equals demand to maximise profits. Thus any unexpected sales force means limited surplus supply. However, a quick look at VGchartz and we see that Wii Fit is in 5 place with both GTA4s, Wii Sports and MKWii ahead. Selling over 300,000 copies a week without the US market is astounding performance, especially for an "antisocial unhealthy gimmick". Remember, Nintendo have to produce hardware at this rate - that sales figure is roughly twice the PS3 or 360 weekly sales rate.

One other reason is probably because Nintendo are stockpiling fr the US.
It seems to me there is a constant supply of stock which quickly gets sold, but with fresh stock arriving days later. Can't expect much more form Nintendo.

Umm.. is there a reason why its not for sale anywhere?? I don't know anyone who has actually bought a copy, but i had a spare £70 and thought i might.

However i have been to all the No competitors! stores in Bristol and Birmingham and none have it.. plus no on-line stores have it afaik? Is it even out?

Are you sure you have been to ALL the game stores in Birmingham? I picked up one for my mate in a well-known supermarket for £64.95 last week. And a place where I got my Wii Fit on the day of release, still have them in stock. I usually speak to the staff when I go in and they told me they have never sold out of Wii Fits:eek: despite selling loads.

It does seem to be regionalised. Everywhere round here sells out as soon as they get stock in, and have done since launch; and that's including game shops, supermarkets, general and electrical stores.
